Are you eligible?
In order to qualify for enrollment, you must be of middle or high school age and be in your school's band or music program if there is one offered. Home school students are exempt from the school band requirement.

Open auditions are held on August 10 for high school students, and middle school students can simply fill out an online registration form and come to classes on the first day of classes, August 16. After general registration, admission starts with contacting us to schedule a time to visit the school. During your visit, we will hold a brief placement audition and let you experience the sound of our ensembles for yourself before having you fill out an online registration form. The cost of the program for most students is $1595 for the school year, with TUSD middle students receiving a substantial discount. Members of our elite ensemble, the Ellington Big Band, incur an additional fee.
