Essentially Ellington
We have just returned home from New York City where we competed as one of 30 finalist bands in the Essentially Ellington competition. We had an absolute blast meeting hundreds of other great high school musicians and listening to world-class jazz in some of the greatest jazz clubs in the world!
TJI jam session at the Glowbal
Mondays from 6 - 8 pm, Ongoing
TJI's aspiring students join a core group of professionals to play every Monday at the Sheraton of Tucson (5151 E. Grant) in the Glowbal restaurant or in the hotel's courtyard. This is an essential part of learning to play jazz, and all TJI students are encouraged to try their stuff and join this fun weekly social and educational opportunity. There is no cover charge, but families are encouraged to purchase food or drink.
